Welcome to The Happy Lush!

n the summer of 2013, I took my first wine class at the Wine and Spirits Archive in Portland, Oregon. At the time, I was exhausted and burnt out, looking for something fun to spark joy.

From the very first sip, I was hooked. Wine became a passion I couldn’t ignore, and I wanted to learn everything about it. I went on to earn my Level 3 Wine & Spirits Education Trust certificate and fell in love with the entire process of wine—learning about the vineyard, the winemakers, and the incredible passion poured into crafting and sharing each bottle.

I started hosting wine parties, formed a wine club, launched a wine podcast, and even opened a wine shop.

Life took a turn when my husband and I began traveling the country in our RV with our two kids, so I stepped away from wine for a while.

But wine kept calling me back. I love enjoying wine with friends and helping others find wines they’ll love, especially those who feel lost or overwhelmed.

My favorite? When someone says they hate Chardonnay, and I introduce them to a Chablis. Helping people discover something new and fall in love with wine is such a thrill!

Now, The Happy Lush is back, and my mission is to help casual wine drinkers deepen their love of wine by pairing it with life. From tips to pairings, I aim to make wine simple, fun, and accessible.
