Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays. For years, I loved decorating eggs and hiding them for my kids. When they were little, I’d go all out — creating big baskets and leaving a trail of mini marshmallows for them to follow in the morning. The marshmallows would lead them to their baskets and hidden eggs, and their excitement was priceless.

One year, I decided to hide the eggs outside for extra fun... except the raccoons beat my kids to the prize! The kids were disappointed, but honestly, it turned into one of those funny family memories we still laugh about today.

Every Easter dinner was a special occasion, whether we hosted it at our house or spent it at my mom's. The menu never changed — steamed asparagus, creamy potatoes au gratin, baked ham, and warm rolls were always on the table.

Now that we live away from family and my kids are older, our Easter traditions have shifted a bit. We still decorate eggs and fill smaller baskets, but these days, we usually go out to eat. This year, we’ll be in South Carolina, enjoying a sunny beachside brunch. And you can bet I’ll be sipping a glass of wine in the warm spring sunshine!

Speaking of wine, I’ve put together a handy cheat sheet featuring 8 Spring Wines for Easter to help you find the perfect bottle for your holiday celebration.

Easter is a season of renewal, fresh starts, and celebrating the beauty of spring. Even if your kids are older or your traditions have shifted, there are still so many ways to create joyful memories.

Here are five ideas to inspire you:

1. Host a Laid-Back Easter Brunch

Instead of the traditional big dinner, consider hosting a casual brunch with delicious yet simple dishes. Here’s an easy brunch menu with wine pairings to keep things festive:

2. Create a Grown-Up Egg Hunt

Who says egg hunts are just for kids? Fill eggs with fun surprises like mini gift cards, chocolate truffles, or even Easter wine glass charms. For added fun, turn it into a scavenger hunt with clues to keep everyone guessing!

3. Decorate with Spring Touches

Even if you’re keeping things simple, adding fresh flowers, pastel napkins, or decorative eggs can instantly brighten your home and create a joyful vibe. A small vase of tulips or a festive table runner can make a big impact.

4. Plan a Sunset Walk or Beach Picnic

Easter isn’t just about the food — it's also about savoring the season. Plan a relaxing outdoor activity like a scenic walk or beach picnic. Pack a bottle of AIX Rosé and some simple snacks to make it extra special.

5. Toast with a Special Wine

No matter how you celebrate, Easter is the perfect time to uncork something special. My 8 Spring Wines for Easter cheat sheet has all the best picks for brunch, dinner, or casual sipping.
